Have tried several photo editors for iPad. This is by far the best. Would like red eye reduction added, but am loving it so far

Amazingly full featured app for the iPad. Very intuitive!
Photogene continues to get better and better. I use this app continuously to edit my images.
I love this app best one on I pad ever
I use this program on my iPad and iPhone- Outstanding Editor. I recommend it totally. I can fix a photo up in minutes and have an amazing crisp photo with colors that jump of the page at you!! This app gets 10 out of 10!!!!!!
E mail collages instead of boring friends with multiple pics.
Like this app a lot just wish we could bring down exposure in one specific area not the whole pic. I use it often and definitely recommend
I tend to be impatient about apps, and so I just dive in and see what happens without reading any instructions. My premise is that if I can quickly understand how the app works by immediately applying it to a project then it is a great program, the developers have already figured out what works and what does not. I have had the app for a week now and for the last three hours have used it to process photos taken with my iPad. That means I dove a bit deeper to find all sorts of "goodies" such as dodging and burning brushes to "repair" minor flaws in the images. I really hope that the developers of Photogene keep on going. Why? Because I hope that they can add a cloning brush. Normally it is not my inclination to write a review, but in this case I got value for money and so I feel obligated to offer praise when praise is due. David
I am currently travelling for a few years with an iPad, and this app does it all and does it well and intuitively. A great and cheap investment, from my point of view. Been using since 2010, on my 1st gen iPad as well.
Love this app. I use it regularly to prepare my images for tumblr. Well worth the money!
I would have given this another star, but since the last update, the "clarify" function does not work properly! Please fix!
Best app that I found to work with raw photos. Recommend it!
Been using Photogene for a few years, and its been one of the best photo post-production tools on iOS! Ive tried other apps, but keep coming back to this one.
Simple and easy to use. Now with new fonts is even better
Its decent, good for basic things. Not a huge fan of the layout though. Feels a little cheap and unprofessional. Id say save your money and buy Pixelmator instead.
Gives them a pink tinge that cant be corrected. Otherwise OK for what it does
Update: After iOS 8 installed, Photogene no longer handles RAW+jpg files correctly. When settings configured to ignore the jpg and open the RAW file, only opens the jpg. Will briefly display "Decoding RAW" but dont be fooled. What you get is NOT THE DECODED RAW FILE. It is the embedded jpg. Works correctly for stand-alone RAW files, but RAW+jpg pair is broken. ------- Photogene is a very capable basic image editing package crippled by a hopelessly distracting interface. Making careful, subtle adjustments to the colours or white balance of an image is impossible when the perifery of the screen is littered with swatches of brilliant turquoise. There is no way to get rid of it, and for this reason alone I have stopped using this app and cannot recommend it to others. If you are looking for basic functionality and some fun filters, there are numerous other options available. If you want state of the art image editing for iPad, with full layers capability, check out Pixelmator and Art Studio. They are more expensive, but worth every penny.
I use this App ALL THE TIME when Im travelling. Over the past 6 months it has slowed down significantly, with photos, and now (Mar 15) it keeps freezing. PLEASE FIT IT. OTHERWISE THIS IS THE BEST APP out there for photo editing.....PLEASE FIX the issues!!!!
Absolutely love this app. UI is fantastic, helps my workflow while filing photos directly from my camera to my phone. Some buttons could be bigger but its not a concern. Must have for photo Editing and captioning and filing.
Its not as good as Photoshop but it has some nice advanced features. For those of you who primarily use this for everything are not experience photo technicians. If you truly want to work with layers use Photoshop. As a photo technician I trusted some reviews that said photogene was just as good as Photoshop but it isnt. If you want to do some graphic design and true photo editing including background manipulation, spend the money on Photoshop touch.
